Early Life and Career

As a kid, Chopra had to travel around quite a bit as the daughter of doctors in the Indian army. Starting over in new places wasn't always easy for an Indian girl moving to America. 

As she attended Newton high school, people from Massachusetts made fun of her because of her race. She really began to blossom when she moved back to India.

Chopra went on to win the Miss India Award in 2000 as she grew older. With the film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, she broke into the Bollywood world in 2003. 

In the category of Female New Actress in a Supporting Performance, the role won her the Star Dust Award in 2003. In over 50 Bollywood films, Chopra went on to star and became an icon in the genre.

Achievements

Not only is Chopra an outstanding actress, but she is a pageant queen as well. In 2000, Chopra was given a chance to go to London, England, Miss World pageant, where she took the crown home.
